“Howling at the Moon” by Madison P.

By |October 19th, 2015|Camtasia, Grade 5, Photoshop, Student-Work|

howling at the moonTo the left is a beautiful original work of art by Madison P.   She used Photoshop CS5 to do the actual drawing and used Camtasia Studio 8 to screen record the whole process. I think she  did an amazing job of editing the video (adding animation, music and speeding up the recording) to great effect… I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

2nd Graders Learn and Teach Google Forms

By |October 9th, 2015|Google Forms, Grade 2|

Joseph Joubert once  said, “To teach is to learn twice.”  I was thinking about this quote as I watched the 2nd grade students teach and help one another use Google Forms program during our class today.  It began with Anderson giving a mini-lesson on formatting the forms (this was our 3rd class on forms), and from there, the students seem to take inspiration and could barely contain their enthusiasm as they got to work.  It was endearing to see these 2nd graders in action as they focused and applied all their skills and knowledge to get their work done while helping out their classmates without a second thought. The students learned from each other, but I think I learned something from them as well…
